The Philadelphia Flyers had a busy week in NHL action with four games in six days. They split the decisions with two wins and two losses, but more importantly for all you hockey poolies out there, the team combined for a total of 16 goals.

If you asked any of the pundits who the rookie of the year candidates were before the NHL 2011-2012 season began you might have heard names like Brayden Schenn, Gabriel Landeskog, Adam Larsson, Ryan Ellis or Nino Niederreiter. While Schenn and Ellis have started the seasons in the AHL, Neiderreiter has yet to play a game due to injury and Larsson has yet to record a point.
